I was so thankful when the team at Kyles invited me to their beautiful showroom and showed me around their workshop to see how their stunning jewellery is made. The Kyles Collection begun in 1990, when the creators Malkit and Nisha Dadi started designing their unique jewellery pieces. The brand is inspired by the romantic location, the creators original home, near the Kyles of Bute in Scotland. The lotus flower logo represents the serenity that the brand is all about. Staying true to their roots, Kyles jewellery have a large flagship showroom in London and their designs are shipped all over the world! You can view their amazing ranges at kylescollection.com. Read on to learn more about the brand and an in-depth talk-through on how their jewellery is made.
SPF is short for Sun Protection Factor and is found in many cosmetic products. Whether the sun is out or not, UV rays still hit our skin and can cause short/ long-term damage. In all honesty I didn’t realise how influential SPF is, especially its importance from a young age, in order to protect our skin and reduce the damage it receives. I did some deep research into SPF and UV damage and summarised it into this blog post for you all.

I came back from Denmark to this wonderful package from Ayesha Ziya! I’m sure everyone’s heard of this amazing brand but for those who haven’t, Ayesha Ziya is a fragrance company who pride themselves on their Middle Eastern expertise with unisex fragrances based around rich notes of Oud. Oud, otherwise known as Agarwood is renowned for being one of the most expensive woods in the world. Oud, is a well-known aphrodisiac, both in oil form and as incense, it is often described as “a sweet, deep but balanced fragrance”.
After waking up to the stress of having to move out of my uni flat, I was so happy to receive this amazing package from Agence De Parfume! I want to thank Katie for this extremely generous package; after smelling all the fragrances I just had to review them in a post as I LOVE the scent stories behind the MiN New York fragrances. Don’t forget to check them out on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
I previously reviewed the GREAT Slendertoxtea Day and Night Detox Teas (click here to read the review) so was really excited to review their new Superfoods range. These 100% Organic, Vegan and Gluten Free superfoods are a great addition to any diet to promote a healthier lifestyle. I opted for the Chia Seeds, Wheatgrass Powder and Acai Berry Powder. It is safe to say I LOVED trying these and will definitely be purchasing the others in the Superfood range.
I’m back! After a long break due to uni exams I needed to get back to blogging. I was so excited to receive the Environ AVST1 moisturiser and the Environ AVST Hydrating Exfoliant Masque, at the recent Essential Health launch. I can’t believe I haven’t already been introduced to this amazing skincare line! You can’t buy Environ products online, however stockists like Essential Health do stock them.
This recipe I quickly threw together because an urgent dessert was needed when we had some guests over. It turned out a massive hit with everyone and is now my signature dessert, so I thought I’d share the “recipe” with you all!
Cake of your choice
1 tin of Ambrosia Devon Custard
1 tin of Sainsbury’s own brand custard
284ml tub of Elmlea double cream
Icing Sugar (to taste)
Madagascan Vanilla (to taste)
Biscuits of your choice (I used digestives)
Fruit to decorate
Cut the cake into thin slices and line the bottom of your serving dish.
Pour both tins of custard over the cake.
Add icing sugar and Madagascan Vanilla to the double cream and whip until a thick consistency.
Smooth the whipped cream over the custard, covering the whole dish.
Crush 4/5 biscuits and sprinkle over the cream, creating a layer of biscuit.
Finally decorate with a variety of fruit and ENJOY!
I hope you all enjoy this quick and easy recipe and would love to see your interpretations!
So, Versace recently revealed their menswear line for the SS16 season. It seems as though the designer has definitely taken inspiration from the Persian/ South Asian culture, with the long shirts which are more commonly known (in the Asian culture) as ‘kameez.’ The Arabic music played at their fashion shows brings in an exotic and international aspect to their line.
Versace describe their collection as that of “Desert mood and tones” which is clearly represented in their choices of beige and red colour choices. The designer has gone for a more ‘relaxed’ fit in their clothing to suit their brief of this collection being for the “man who is an adventurer in what he wears and also in his travels”. The choice of soft, flowing fabrics look extremely comfortable and the addition of double-breasted blazers and ties, bring in a western feel to the looks.
I feel as though their new collection is definitely going to be a hit with the eastern countries as Versace have tweaked fashion styles that are already present in the east. However, it seems as though the designer may struggle in Europe and some parts of the U.S.A as this new line could be thought of as feminine due to the fabric choices and shirt lengths. However long t-shirts have suddenly boomed in the fashion industry so there is nothing stopping Versace from re-inventing menswear clothing.
