I was so intrigued when I received this package from Deborah Mitchell, Deborah is the inventor of the Bee Venom Mask and her company “Heaven” have created products containing their patented Abeetoxin and PPM formulas. P.s – no bees are harmed in the making of Heaven products!
SPF is short for Sun Protection Factor and is found in many cosmetic products. Whether the sun is out or not, UV rays still hit our skin and can cause short/ long-term damage. In all honesty I didn’t realise how influential SPF is, especially its importance from a young age, in order to protect our skin and reduce the damage it receives. I did some deep research into SPF and UV damage and summarised it into this blog post for you all.
I previously reviewed the GREAT Slendertoxtea Day and Night Detox Teas (click here to read the review) so was really excited to review their new Superfoods range. These 100% Organic, Vegan and Gluten Free superfoods are a great addition to any diet to promote a healthier lifestyle. I opted for the Chia Seeds, Wheatgrass Powder and Acai Berry Powder. It is safe to say I LOVED trying these and will definitely be purchasing the others in the Superfood range.
This recipe I quickly threw together because an urgent dessert was needed when we had some guests over. It turned out a massive hit with everyone and is now my signature dessert, so I thought I’d share the “recipe” with you all!
Cake of your choice
1 tin of Ambrosia Devon Custard
1 tin of Sainsbury’s own brand custard
284ml tub of Elmlea double cream
Icing Sugar (to taste)
Madagascan Vanilla (to taste)
Biscuits of your choice (I used digestives)
Fruit to decorate
Cut the cake into thin slices and line the bottom of your serving dish.
Pour both tins of custard over the cake.
Add icing sugar and Madagascan Vanilla to the double cream and whip until a thick consistency.
Smooth the whipped cream over the custard, covering the whole dish.
Crush 4/5 biscuits and sprinkle over the cream, creating a layer of biscuit.
Finally decorate with a variety of fruit and ENJOY!
I hope you all enjoy this quick and easy recipe and would love to see your interpretations!
After the secret and not-so-secret indulging over Christmas and the winter period, I certainly needed a full body detox to start-off the new year with a bang. I was so excited to receive these detox teas to taste and review!
Are you fed up of feeling bloated and tired straight after eating a meal? Are you fed up of wanting to get in all your vitamins and minerals, but don’t fancy eating a plateful of rabbit food? Then this juice recipe is definitely for you! Tastes amazing and combines all the good nutrients that we all need.
2 Cups of Spinach Leaves
3 Medium Carrots (Peeled & Sliced)
2 Medium Apples (Peeled & Diced)
1/4 Grapefruit (Scoop Out the Grapefruit and Discard of the Skin)
500 ml of any preferred fruit juice or water (depending on taste) – I find tropical fruit juice works best!
Literally pop in a blender and blend! Yes it’s that easy and if you have a juicer even better!
It may look un-appealing but once you taste it you’ll realise how good it tastes! Please give it a try and let me know of any tweaks that work for you!
Just thought I’d share my morning skincare routine with you all. After 19 years of battling with oily skin and then dry skin and then oily skin again! I think my body finally decide to give me combination skin. This basically means I have a mix between an oily T-zone but dry skin around my cheek area… Males finding it hard to apply “girly” cosmetics with flower fragrances… this is for you!
I start off my morning with washing my face with just lukewarm water, just to dampen my face. I then use the Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser. To use this you just simply pump a small amount into your hand, form a lather and then massage across your face. You can feel it working itself into your pores and genuinely “cleansing” your skin. Then all you have to do is wash it off and pat-dry with a clean towel.
Then comes the key moisturiser. After sampling many moisturisers I found the best one for combination skin is the Loreal Men Expert Pure & Matte Moisturising Gel. It truly does live up to its name by leaving an anti-shine matte effect to the skin. A little really goes a long way with this moisturiser and although it being slightly expensive it is definitely worth investing in. I feel my skin does become slightly greasy after 10-12 hours of wearing this moisturiser but combining this with the cleanser, my skin stays matte for much longer.
For long term care of your skin I recommend drinking lots of natural lemon water as it cleanses and purifies your skin. Just simply squeeze a slice or two into a glass of water or you can just make a full jug of water using a couple of lemons and limes, and keep it cool in the fridge.
I hope this works a treat for you all, don’t hesitate to contact me for any tips and tricks!
