Oscars 2016 – Who Wore Who

Sorry I’m slightly late with this post but here are some of the celebrities and who they wore on the red carpet at the Oscars 2016 – with my opinions…

IF

TV personality Heidi Klum wearing Marchesa Fashion. Sorry but the structure of this dress does no favours for Heidi, even though the colours are amazing. (Photo by Todd Williamson/Getty Images)

IF

Actor Jacob Tremblay wears Armani. Probably one of the youngest celebrities at the Oscars, Jacob looks very dapper in this Armani tux and very polished shoes! (Photo by Todd Williamson/Getty Images)

IF

Actress Jennifer Garner wears Atelier Versace. This dress is STUNNING! I love the slight hint of bling on the classy black. (Photo by Jason Merritt/Getty Images)

IF

Actress Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Couture. This daring dress certainly gives a  young feel to Jennifer Lawrence and it isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I do like it. (Photo by Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic)

IF

Actress Kate Winslet wearing Ralph Lauren. Kate Winslet is a STUNNING woman but for me, this dress doesn’t do her any favours…I think it’s the fabric.  (Photo by Todd Williamson/Getty Images)

IF

Actress Kelly Ripa wearing Dennis Basso. This is a stunning dress that hugs Kelly’s figure in just the right places with just the right amount of bead-work. (Photo by Todd Williamson/Getty Images)

IF

Actress Kerry Washington wearing Versace. Just when you thought leather had come and gone, Kerry brings it back with a bang in this black and white gown by Versace. Very chic.  (Photo by Jeff Vespa/WireImage)

US-OSCARS-ARRIVALS

Singer Lady Gaga wearing Bradon Maxwell and Taylor Kinney wearing Armani. The power-couple looked AMAZING on the red carpet. I love how feminine Lady Gaga looked in this white ensemble.   (Photo credit should read VALERIE MACON/AFP/Getty Images)

US-OSCARS-ARRIVALS

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio wearing Armani. It looks like Armani dressed all the men this year in classic black tux’. Well done to Leo for winning his first Oscar!  (Photo credit should read VALERIE MACON/AFP/Getty Images)

US-OSCARS-ARRIVALS

Actress Margot Robbie wearing Tom Ford. I feel like this is TOO much gold for my liking, it distracts from Margot’s beautiful face and body.  (Photo credit should read VALERIE MACON/AFP/Getty Images)

IF

Actress Naomi Watts wears Armani. I really like the hints of purples and pinks in this gown, it looks like everyone got the memo to wear gliiter! (Photo by Jason Merritt/Getty Images)

IF

Actress Alicia Vikander wearing Louis Vuitton. For me this dress just didn’t work… The colour and embellishments were all too much.  (Photo by Steve Granitz/WireImage)

IF

Actress Olivia Munn in Stella Mccartney. This dress was STUNNING! The simplicity of it’s design and the off-the-shoulder look really worked on Olivia (Photo by Todd Williamson/Getty Images)

IF

Actress Olivia Wilde in Valentino. This beautiful, low-cut off-white gown can’t be worn by everyone but Olivia certainly wore it well. (Photo by Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic)

IF

Actress Patricia Arquette in Marina Rinaldi. Sometimes the smaller designers make the better gowns. This midnight blue gown is very flattering and the detail on the bust is just the right amount. (Photo by Todd Williamson/Getty Images)

IF

Actress Priyanka Chopra in Zuhair Murad. I’ve always been a fan of Zuhair Murad gowns and this is why. I love the white floral effect against Priyanka’s skin-tone and the short train tops it off.   (Photo by Kevin Mazur/WireImage)

IF

Actress Rachel McAdams in August Getty. This shade of green highlights Rachel’s skin-tone perfectly and the simple design and cut is made glamorous with the long train.    (Photo by Todd Williamson/Getty Images)

IF

Actress Reese Witherspoon in Oscar de la Renta. This shade of purple is perfect for the Oscars and the gown has just the right mount of structure without it being too structural  (Photo by Jason Merritt/Getty Images)

IF

Actress Rooney Mara in Givenchy. This for me, was one of the best gowns on the red carpet. The soft lace flows beautifully and the sleeves just tie it all together.  (Photo by Todd Williamson/Getty Images)

US-OSCARS-ARRIVALS

Costume designer Sandy Powell  in White Chapel Workhouse. This suit was just a big NO NO for me. The flared trousers and shiny material are just too extravagant for my liking…(Photo credit should read VALERIE MACON/AFP/Getty Images)

IF

Actress Saoirse Ronan in Calvin Klein. I imagine this dress would have glistened even more in person, the simple approach is definitely the way to go with such a glittery fabric.  (Photo by Jason Merritt/Getty Images)

IF

Actress Sarah Silverman in Zac Posen. This gown is structurally perfect but I feel as though Sarah’s waist is accentuated slightly too much with this gown. (Photo by Todd Williamson/Getty Images)

IF

Actress Sofía Vergara in Marchesa. I love the combination of fabrics and the stunning colour of this gown with perfect detailing at the waist. (Photo by Todd Williamson/Getty Images)

IF

Actor Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin both wearing Yves Saint Laurent. I love how effortless they both look and how Sylvester Stallone as brave to venture away from the expected “black tux” (Photo by Jason Merritt/Getty Images)

IF

Actress Tina Fey in Versace. Another shade of purple this time but nonetheless still stunning and royal. With slight rouching at the waist it really accentuates Tina’s figure in the right places. (Photo by Jason Merritt/Getty Images)

IF

Actress Whoopi Goldberg in a GooGoo and 828 Collection gown. Although I Love the structure and pleats in this dress, I feel as though the shoulders make Whoopi Goldberg look broader than she really is. (Photo by Todd Williamson/Getty Images)

IF

Model/TV personality Chrissy Teigen in a Marchesa gown and musician John Legend in a John Smith tux. John Legend looks average but Chrissy’s gown is EXTRAORDINARY! The hand-crafted floral detailing and the beautiful train help her to glow and shine. (Photo by Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic)

IF

Actress Amy Poehler in AndrewGN. Most people disliked this red carpet look but I feel as though the daring floral print on the muted black background kind-of works…  (Photo by Todd Williamson/Getty Images)
